As the Wales family settles into their new home, Princess Kate is entering a period of reflection and renewal that mirrors the changes unfolding within the royal household.
On Saturday, November 15, the Princess of Wales released a new two-minute video across her social media channels. It is the third instalment in her ongoing “Mother Nature” series and arrives at a particularly meaningful moment for the family.
In the piece, titled “Autumn”, Kate reflects on the lessons found in the shifting season. Her narration is gentle and contemplative as she speaks about the beauty of change, the inevitability of impermanence, and the value of letting go.
“With the turning of the seasons, Mother Nature teaches us there’s beauty to be found in change, in impermanence, and in letting go. These are the natural cycles of life,” she says.
Filmed by her longtime collaborator Will Warr, the video blends sweeping forest scenery with moments of Kate cooking outdoors alongside British chef Gill Meller and a group of children. The falling amber leaves echo the themes of release and introspection woven through her voiceover.

“As the days grow shorter and the shadows grow longer, the energy of summer withdraws into autumn. This is the season for reflection and refinement,” she says. “Trees shed their canopies in preparation for winter. Just as we learn to let go of what is no longer needed.”
Her closing message is the most striking.
“Whilst the blossoms fall and the colours fade, the roots grow deeper, stronger. Let love be the root that holds us, the light that guides us, with hope through change. Endure.”
