Singer Khalid took to social media on Friday to address his sexuality after being allegedly outed by a former partner.
Despite the situation, Khalid appeared unfazed, insisting he wasn’t hiding anything and asserting that his personal life isn’t anyone else’s business.

The Incident
Khalid initially hadn’t planned to discuss the topic until fellow artist Hugo Almonte made claims about him in a social media post. Almonte alleged he had been intimate with “one of your favorite gay R&B singers,” accusing the unnamed artist of offering him drugs and falsely claiming he broke into their home.
In a follow-up post, Almonte criticized openly gay artists, calling them “sh**** as f***,” and later shared a photo of himself with Khalid.

Khalid’s Response
While Khalid didn’t directly address Almonte’s comments, he confirmed his sexuality on his own Twitter page. Sharing an LGBTQ+ pride flag emoji, he wrote: “There y’all go. Next topic please lol.”
