A new book alleges that King Charles made Prince William sign a waiver after he refused to comply with his father’s wishes.
While much attention has been given to King Charles’ strained relationship with his younger son, Prince Harry, it seems his bond with the future king hasn’t always been smooth either.
According to reports, the King and Prince William had a disagreement when Charles asked him to give up something he had long been doing.
Their dispute reportedly ended with William signing an official waiver, taking full responsibility for his actions in case of any unfortunate consequences.

In his new biography about the future Queen, Kate Middleton, author Rob Jobson reveals that the disagreement took place after King Charles received his cancer diagnosis.
The book suggests that Charles was deeply aware of the monarchy’s future resting on his shoulders. However, when he urged his eldest son to comply with his wishes, William declined.
One of Charles’ biggest concerns was William’s decision to personally fly his young family across the country in a helicopter, despite being an experienced pilot. The King feared that if a tragic accident occurred while they were all on board, it could drastically alter the Royal Family’s future.
