Goldie Hawn, 78, has shared that she’s thinking about leaving Los Angeles and settling down in Palm Desert after experiencing multiple break-ins within just four months.
The actress, famous for starring in films like The First Wives Club, Bird on the Wire, Snatched, Overboard, and Housesitter, has been with her longtime partner Kurt Russell for over four decades.
Having spent most of their careers based in LA, the couple is now reconsidering their living situation due to recent burglaries. Hawn opened up about their future plans while speaking on the SiriusXM podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.
Recalling the incidents, she explained: “What if we couldn’t live in LA, where would we live? We both decided I think it’s Palm Desert. … It’s so safe. It’s just ’cause LA is terrible. I mean, we were robbed once.”

The Oscar-winning actress shared that she and Russell had been out for about two hours and 20 minutes, only to return home to what initially seemed like a normal scene.
“They completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.”
Although the experience left her unsettled, the First Wives Club star tried to move on, believing it was just an isolated incident.
“So, I’m thinking, ‘Oh, my God, so the chances are, I guess that’s it,'” she said. “It’s gotta be. The odds are that’s not gonna happen again.”
