Ongoing Rift with the Royal Family
Harry and Meghan attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September, momentarily reuniting with the Royal Family. However, reports suggest their presence didn’t mend the fractures between them and the Firm.
According to royal correspondent Russell Myers, the public appearance of Harry, Meghan, William, and Kate together was merely a facade. William and Harry barely made eye contact, and Kate and Meghan didn’t interact at all. During the Queen’s procession, Meghan even traveled separately from Kate.
Myers states that any reconciliation between Harry and his family is unlikely until he fully discloses his stance—especially with his upcoming book still on the horizon. A royal insider reinforced this notion, stating, “There is still a serious amount of distrust in the air.”
Reports also claim that during their brief visit to the UK before the Queen’s funeral, Harry and Meghan attempted to reconnect with then-Prince Charles and Camilla but arrived late, making for an awkward and tense meeting.
