President Trump has ordered an immediate end to Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden, citing high costs. He also revoked security for John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Mark Milley, and Dr. Anthony Fauci, all of whom had faced threats.
Confronted by a reporter
Defending his decision, Trump made it clear that he wasn’t willing to approve lifetime security.
“When you have protection, you can’t have it for the rest of your life,” he told reporters at the time.
On Monday, while visiting the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter about Hunter Biden’s Secret Service protection during his trip to South Africa.

“That will be something I’ll look at this afternoon. OK. I just heard about it for the first time,” Trump replied.
Just a few hours later, he made it official, announcing on Truth Social that Hunter Biden’s security detail would be revoked immediately.
“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer,” Trump wrote. “There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!”
Ashley Biden, who reportedly had 13 agents assigned to her, will also lose her protection.
Why now?
It’s no secret that Donald Trump isn’t a fan of Biden or his family. Even though their election showdown is in the past, Trump still frequently brings up his successor and his decisions.
