King Charles has shared a deeply heartbreaking update about his battle with cancer.
At 76 years old, he opened up with some very personal words about his health, 15 months after first being diagnosed.
On April 30th, cancer survivors were invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the incredible work of local, community-run cancer groups.
Charles wrote a touching message, thanking those who “selflessly” offer care and comfort to the 390,000 people diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK.
“Each diagnosis, each new case, will be a daunting and at times frightening experience for those individuals and their loved ones,” he wrote.
“As one among those statistics myself, I can vouch for the fact that it can also be an experience that brings into sharp focus the very best of humanity,” he writes.
