The spotlight is once again on Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s strained relationship, following fresh reports of a disagreement over bridesmaid dresses ahead of the 2018 royal wedding.
Tensions between the two have long been rumored, and as more insider accounts emerge, public curiosity is growing about what really happened behind closed doors.
Meghan, formerly known for her role in Suits, married Prince Harry in a grand ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018.
However, according to Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, things weren’t as flawless as they appeared. He revealed that Meghan and Kate clashed over the bridesmaids’ outfits, which were custom-made ‘French Couture’ dresses.
In true pre-wedding fashion drama, Harry wrote that Kate messaged Meghan just four days before the ceremony, insisting that the dresses needed to be redone.

Harry recalled, “Meg didn’t respond to Kate right away. Sure, she was receiving a flood of wedding-related messages, but most of her attention was on the drama surrounding her father. The next morning, she did text Kate to say that our tailor was ready to help.”
He then added, “But that wasn’t enough.”
This version of events contrasts sharply with what Meghan and Harry shared back in their 2017 engagement interview — a time when things seemed much more positive.
During their sit-down with BBC journalist Mishal Husain, Harry mentioned that the two couples had met “quite a few times” and that everything was going smoothly.
