10 People Who Did Something So Kind It Belongs in a Film

Part 2 of 2
Story 5:

Story 6:

It was the holiday season, and I was working at a toy store in the mall. One day, a teenage girl walked in wearing a T-shirt featuring the logo of my all-time favorite video game.

Excited, I complimented her shirt and asked where she had found it. I had searched everywhere but had only ever seen that design on men’s shirts, never women’s. She happily told me the store where she got it and then went on her way.

During my break, I rushed to the back to tell my boyfriend to get it for me as a Christmas gift. But when I stepped out of the break room, I was surprised to see the same girl standing there, waiting for me.

With a warm smile, she handed me a shopping bag. “Merry Christmas! I hope I picked the right size,” she said before walking away.

I stood there in shock, realizing she had gone out and bought the shirt for me. It was such a simple gesture, but it was one of the kindest, most unexpected gifts I had ever received.

Story 8:

I was out on a date, and he seemed like the perfect gentleman—thoughtful, charming, and incredibly sweet. Everything was going great until the bill arrived. The waitress glanced at him and said, “Sir, your card didn’t go through.” His face drained of color. I simply smiled and covered the bill.

As we stepped outside, the waitress caught my arm and murmured, “I made that up.” Then, discreetly, she slipped a receipt into my hand. Confused, I flipped it over—and there, scrawled in hurried handwriting, were two chilling words: “Look him up.”

The moment I got home, I typed his name into Google… and my stomach dropped. He wasn’t just any ordinary guy—he was a con artist.

This wasn’t his first time. He had a pattern: charm women, earn their trust, then rob them blind. His criminal record was filled with fraud and theft, mostly targeting past employers and ex-girlfriends. One of those women had even documented their relationship online—right down to the exact way he had approached her. It was almost identical to how he had wooed me.

That waitress was more than just a server that night—she was a guardian angel. Her quick thinking, bravery, and quiet warning saved me from something I might have never seen coming. She had staged the entire “declined card” moment just to get that message into my hands.

She didn’t just deliver my dinner. She delivered a wake-up call.

Story 10:

Back when I was a freshman, I got caught in a downpour on my way home from school. I had forgotten my umbrella, so I figured I’d just walk through the rain.

Then, out of nowhere, an elderly woman—probably in her 60s—came up beside me and silently held her umbrella over us both. She matched my pace, shielding me from the rain as we walked together. For the next ten minutes, she shared little pieces of wisdom, life lessons that stuck with me long after.

I never saw her again, but I wish I could. Just to say thank you.
