King Charles just took serious action against Prince Andrew that’s usually reserved for traitors

Part 1 of 2

King Charles III has reportedly taken decisive action against Prince Andrew following the disgraced royal’s decision to surrender his remaining honours and titles.

On Friday, 17 October, the 65-year-old former Duke of York officially gave up his honours, allegedly under pressure from his elder brother, the King. The move came after renewed scrutiny over Andrew’s connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and just days before the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir.

Giuffre, a survivor of sex trafficking, accused Andrew of sexually abusing her on three occasions when she was 17, after being trafficked by Epstein — allegations Andrew has always denied. In 2022, he paid millions to settle her civil lawsuit in the United States, without admitting guilt.

Now, King Charles has reportedly taken further symbolic action against his brother. According to PEOPLE, Andrew’s personal banner — which bore his coat of arms — has been removed from Windsor Castle.

The banner, which once hung beside Prince William’s inside St George’s Chapel, was first displayed in 2006 after Andrew was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Garter. Though he has not been formally stripped of the title, he is said to have voluntarily relinquished it, just as he did with his Duke of York title.

Per The Sun, the banner was taken down on Wednesday, 22 October, and depicted traditional royal symbols including England’s three lions, Ireland’s harp, Scotland’s lion rampant, and an anchor to reflect Andrew’s naval service.
