King Charles just took serious action against Prince Andrew that’s usually reserved for traitors

Part 2 of 2

A royal source told the outlet: “It was removed at the most convenient moment.”

Buckingham Palace has since confirmed to Tyla that both the banner and crest have indeed been removed.

Such an action, royal insiders note, is exceedingly rare — usually reserved for cases of “high treason or taking up arms against the Crown.”

The Royal Lodge Controversy

Meanwhile, pressure continues to mount over Andrew’s residency at Royal Lodge, his 30-room home on the Windsor estate. Despite public outrage, legal experts have warned that the royal family would face major hurdles if they tried to evict him.

According to The Times, Andrew’s leasehold agreement grants him long-term residency under highly favorable terms. The Duke reportedly paid £1 million for the lease and an additional £7.5 million for renovations in 2005 — but has paid virtually no rent since.

The agreement requires only a nominal “peppercorn rent” of one coin per year, a symbolic amount used in legal contracts to make them binding. Andrew has lived in the property rent-free for two decades.

The removal of his banner at Windsor Castle may not affect his living arrangements, but it marks a significant and very public signal of his continued fall from royal grace.
