He was subsequently permitted to adopt her after they chose to create an exception for him. They had some difficulties together because she was a girl with Down syndrome, but overall, they had a fantastic bond that was visible to everyone.
He was informed that he would only be given a child who had a serious disease, a significant disability, or behavioral issues when he went to adopt a child.
They had no idea that he would be content with any of those choices.When she was 13 days old in 2017, the adoption happened.
