Son Kicks Out 80-Year-Old Mother to Nursing Home, Years Later Doesn’t Find Her There

Part 1 of 2

When 80-year-old Edith could no longer walk and relied on a wheelchair, her son Henry placed her in a nursing home. Years later, life gave Henry a painful wake-up call—by the time he realized his mistake, Edith was gone.

Raised by Edith after his father passed away, Henry was her world. She gave him everything, and he loved her deeply. But that bond began to fade when he met Courtney in college.

They moved in together, married, and had a son, Liam. Soon, Courtney persuaded Henry to let Edith move in under the guise of saving money—only to start burdening her with chores and babysitting.

Though Edith quietly endured Courtney’s behavior, things worsened. Once Liam grew up, Courtney saw no use for Edith and began subtly turning Henry against her.

She painted Edith as a burden, claiming her presence endangered their family—especially after Courtney became pregnant again and had a health scare she blamed on Edith.

Eventually, Henry gave in.

“Mom,” he said one night, “I think a nursing home would be better for you. You’ll have proper care.”

Tears welled in Edith’s eyes. “But I’m fine here, Henry. I don’t need help.”

“I’ve decided,” he replied coldly. “It’s best for everyone. Pack your things.”

Edith, heartbroken, quietly agreed. “Will you visit me?” she asked, trembling.

“Of course,” he replied, though he never did.

Years passed. Henry’s second child was born. But his world collapsed when he discovered Courtney had been cheating—with his best friend.
