Lip reader reveals what Prince William and Kate Middleton whispered about the Sussexes while standing right in front of them

Part 1 of 2

A lip reader has claimed to catch what Prince William and Kate Middleton were saying during their final public appearance with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as senior royals.

It might feel like a lifetime ago, but back in 2020, the Commonwealth Day Service marked Harry and Meghan’s last official engagement as working members of the royal family.

During that event at Westminster Abbey, a lip reader alleged that William and Kate were seen exchanging a few quiet words—possibly about the Sussexes—while sitting in the row just ahead of them.

Interestingly, none of the couples took part in the official royal procession that day. According to the Daily Mail, the late Queen had requested that all four remain out of the formal walk-in. A source close to the Sussexes said the decision left Harry and Meghan feeling “quite emotional.”

The slightly tense moment was caught on camera and shown to audiences around the world—something I’m sure they really enjoyed witnessing.

As reported by the Daily Star, professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman shared his interpretation of what was said during the interaction. According to him, after the brief greeting between the couples, Harry supposedly turned to Meghan and said: “At least they acknowledged, unlike last time.”

Freeman also claimed that William, after sitting down, looked over at Kate and remarked: “That was executed well. It’s quite good to connect instead of holding things back like always.”
