Although Prince Harry has made it clear he wants to mend ties with King Charles, insiders say a royal reconciliation is highly unlikely — especially with Prince William, Princess Kate, and Queen Camilla reportedly unwilling to reopen that door.
According to sources who spoke with The Times, the Duke of Sussex’s relationship with the royal family remains strained, largely due to his tell-all interviews and the release of his 2023 memoir Spare.
While King Charles, now 76, is said to be somewhat open to reconnecting with Harry, those closest to him are firmly against it.
“As long as William, Kate and Camilla have a say in the matter, Harry will be left out in the Californian wilderness,” the outlet reported.

Latest on Prince Harry and King Charles reconciliation
Queen Elizabeth II once united the family, but now the rift feels personal — with Queen Camilla at the heart of it.

In Spare, Harry wrote about Camilla with mixed feelings, suspecting she sacrificed him for PR but hoping she’d be happier — maybe less dangerous.
As long as William, Kate, and Camilla have influence, Harry remains isolated in California.
In a 2023 interview, Harry softened his stance, saying he doesn’t see Camilla as evil, but someone improving her own image.
Still, Charles finds the feud so painful he avoids the topic in social settings.
