William’s Longstanding Grudge Against Prince Andrew

Prince William’s tension with Prince Andrew reportedly began long before the Epstein scandal. According to royal expert Richard Kay, William has held a grudge for years—stemming from how Andrew allegedly treated Kate Middleton when she was first introduced to the royal family.

While King Charles and William agree on many aspects of monarchy, they reportedly clash on Andrew. William feels his father has been too lenient, especially given Andrew’s past behavior toward Kate.

Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and his settlement with Virginia Giuffre still cast a shadow.

Giuffre, who accused Andrew of abusing her at 17, passed away earlier this year. Andrew denied the claims but reportedly paid her millions in a 2022 settlement.

While King Charles may feel sympathy for his brother, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams says Prince William is focused on one thing: “protecting the crown.” And that means no royal role for Andrew—ever.
