Did Barron Trump give a homeless man a $100 bill?

Barron Trump, now 18 years old, has garnered attention for his popularity, especially among women, since starting his studies at Stern. According to a source quoted by People Magazine, “He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way, he’s a ladies man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies, he’s tall and handsome.” The source added, “A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him.”

Barron’s life, as the youngest son of Donald Trump, has long intrigued the media and the public, likely due to its mysterious nature. This curiosity has only grown in the age of social media, where rumors can easily spread and quickly become perceived truths, often without proper verification.

One story that gained significant attention in mid-December was from the YouTube channel Elite Stories. The channel posted a video with the headline, “Homeless Man asks Barron, ‘Can you give me 1$?’ Trump’s response is SHOCKING,” claiming that Barron had helped a homeless man by giving him a $100 bill.

As of December 23, the video had almost 1 million views. In the footage, a narrator recounts an evening in Cleveland, during which a homeless man named Leonard allegedly asked Barron for $1. Instead, Barron gave him a $100 bill. Additionally, according to the video, the president’s son reportedly wrote down an address where Leonard could receive assistance.

Fact-checking website Snopes shuts down false Barron Trump homeless man rumor

In the YouTube comments section, many users praised Barron Trump for showing kindness by assisting a man in need. However, was it too good to be true? The well-known fact-checking site Snopes investigated the story and found it to be false.

In a December 19 article, Snopes stated that there is no evidence of any interaction between Barron and the homeless individual. The website debunked the claims made in the YouTube video, where the narrator described a meeting between Barron and the man at the intersection of Broad Street and 17th Avenue. But according to Google Maps, these two streets do not even exist.

When Snopes conducted an image search on Google, it led to the discovery that the photo used in the video could be traced back to a 2017 story by the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky. The man featured in that article was identified as Bryon “Roc” Peeler, not Leonard.

The YouTube channel Elite Stories included a disclaimer in their video description: “The stories presented on this channel are entirely fictional and crafted solely for entertainment. Any resemblance to real events, individuals, or situations is purely coincidental and unintentional. These narratives are not intended to depict, reference or represent any actual occurrences, persons or entities.”
