Expert claims King Charles is postponing Princess Lilibet’s 3rd birthday gift until the family dispute is resolved

Part 2 of 2

The possibility of King Charles meeting them in the UK is still discussed, though Meghan Markle has expressed concerns about security, which has kept the children from visiting. Since stepping down from royal duties, Harry and Meghan no longer receive taxpayer-funded security.

Lilibet Diana’s third birthday on June 4th was celebrated at Harry and Meghan’s home in Montecito, California. The event was attended by celebrities like Orlando Bloom, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey, but no members of the British royal family were present.

King Charles was absent from Lilibet’s birthday but sent his wishes and a gift, according to The Mirror. Royal expert Tom Quinn stated, “King Charles didn’t intend to ignore Lilibet’s birthday entirely and sent a gift along with the news.” The gift was meant to be similar to the one Prince George received – a handmade wooden swing with his name – but it won’t be given until the family dispute is resolved.

The royal family’s absence wasn’t due to an invitation issue. Harry’s friend revealed that Harry didn’t invite any family members, knowing they likely wouldn’t attend, and wasn’t sure he wanted them there. Despite this, Harry expressed sadness over Archie and Lilibet’s lack of relationships with their cousins because of the ongoing tensions.

The royal family’s ongoing tensions have deeply affected King Charles’ relationship with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Although Charles has expressed a desire to reconnect with Harry and his family, the situation remains complicated.

He sent gifts for Lilibet’s birthday, but his decision to withhold a major gift shows the strain between them. Harry’s exclusion of family members from the guest list further reveals the ongoing divide. Despite these issues, there is still hope that the royal family can mend their relationships, allowing future generations to build stronger bonds.
