As The Daily Mail reported, Goldberg joked about how the child’s name coincidentally matched Musk’s social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.
Meanwhile, Grimes—X Æ A-Xii’s mother—was apparently blindsided by her son’s appearance at the Oval Office, only learning about it through posts on X. One user commented under her post, saying, “Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT ‘please forgive me, I need to pee.’”
Grimes responded with clear frustration, writing, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

The revelation that Grimes had no prior knowledge of her son’s presence at the event sparked backlash against Musk, with many criticizing his decision to bring the child to such a high-profile occasion.
One person commented, “He is using his son as a PR stunt. Trying to make himself look more human and caring.”
Another added, “He’s using the child as a distraction so the reporters don’t ask him tough questions that he may end up lying on or admit he previously lied.”
A third person shared a different perspective, “Elon Musk is a father in name only. There is no normal family life for any of his children—he uses the poor young ones as some kind of exhibit. His older son, Kia, agrees with this.”
Since their breakup in 2022, Grimes has made efforts to distance herself from Musk and his controversies. In January, after Musk faced backlash for a one-armed gesture during Trump’s inauguration—one that some claimed resembled a Nazi salute—she publicly addressed the issue.

She expressed her frustration, writing, “It’s absurd that someone can be this cancelled for something their ex did before they even heard it happened. I am not him. I will not make a statement every time he does something. I can only send love back into a world that is hurting.”
The former couple share three children: their eldest, 4-year-old X Æ A-Xii, along with 2-year-old Techno Mechanicus and Exa Dark Sideræl. The younger two were born via surrogacy.
She doubled down on her stance, stating, “To be clear I could talk sh–t and be on a bunch of magazine covers and be a feminist hero and get clout — but it would serve no purpose. I choose my children’s wellbeing.”

It looks like singer Grimes and Elon Musk may have differing views on how to co-parent their children. What are your thoughts on this situation? Drop your opinion in the comments! And don’t forget to share this post to hear what others have to say.
