Moderate fertilization can encourage blooming. Use a liquid fertilizer designed for cacti or succulents, applying it once every two months during spring and summer. Avoid over-fertilizing, as excess nutrient salts can damage the roots and hinder plant health.

Snake Plants bloom more readily when kept in temperatures between 18°C and 30°C. They tolerate fluctuations, but cold drafts or sudden temperature changes may interfere with the blooming process.

As for humidity, the plant performs well in dry environments, making it ideal for indoor conditions. In very dry climates, a humidifier can help maintain balanced humidity levels, but avoid overdoing it.

A lesser-known way to promote blooming is by applying a small amount of controlled stress during winter. Reduce watering and skip fertilizing for a period to mimic the dry, cooler climate of the plant’s natural habitat. This environmental shift can trigger flowering once spring arrives.

Snake Plant flowers release a gentle fragrance, especially during the evening. To preserve the scent for as long as possible:

• Keep the plant in a stable environment without abrupt temperature shifts

• Avoid relocating the plant while it is flowering, as changes can cause stress and shorten bloom duration

8. Care After Flowering
