The ‘Stronger’ rapper was photographed in all black, complete with matching sunglasses, while Censori stood by his side, wrapped in a floor-length, oversized black fur coat.
Before they stopped to pose for pictures, West and Censori were seen having a brief exchange.
According to a lip-reading expert, the rapper told his wife to take off her coat.
Nicola Hickling, the founder and lead analyst at LipReader, reports that West was overheard telling Censori (according to the Mirror US): “You’re making a scene now,” as she nodded in acknowledgment.
He is then said to have added: “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense,” before further instructing, “drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.”
Censori, who wore a sheer, skin-colored mini dress, reportedly spun around, leaving her completely nude in front of cameras.
Following the bold fashion move, news surfaced that West and Censori were escorted out of the event.
Entertainment Tonight, in a now-deleted Instagram post, claimed the couple was “escorted out after showing up uninvited,” according to The Independent.
However, a source told Page Six that the couple left on their own accord, adding: “He walked the red carpet and then got in his car and left.”
Former CNN journalist Don Lemon, who was at the Grammys, reported from inside the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles: “I’m hearing that Kanye wanted to do the red carpet and he wasn’t invited, that’s what I’m hearing from the folks here at the Grammys.”
He continued, “He then left, or maybe he was escorted out, folks are saying or he just wanted to do the carpet. But he is definitely gone now.”
Later, Lemon provided an update on his TikTok, claiming he had spoken with a spokesperson for Kanye West, who clarified that the rapper had indeed been invited and was not kicked out of the event.
On the other hand, a source close to the Recording Academy told TMZ that West had been an “invited guest” and was “not forcibly removed” from the ceremony.
The insider further explained, “He walked the red carpet, got in his car of his own volition, and then left… Police and Grammys security never got involved.”
