A man who tried to be consumed by a snake soon regretted his decision.
In 2014, conservationist Paul Rosolie embarked on a daring and controversial mission: to allow himself to be eaten alive by a massive green anaconda.
His goal was to raise awareness about the threats facing the Amazon rainforest.
As an experienced traveler and passionate nature enthusiast, Rosolie had spent years studying the Amazon’s intricate ecosystem.
Witnessing the rapid destruction of habitats, he sought out a dramatic method to highlight the urgent issue.

However, the situation did not go as expected, and Rosolie quickly regretted his experiment.
In preparation for his encounter with the anaconda, Rosolie wore a custom-made carbon fiber suit designed to withstand the immense pressure of the snake’s tight coils.
The suit was equipped with cameras to document the experience and included an oxygen supply.
Rosolie approached the anaconda and deliberately provoked an attack as part of the experiment, which was featured in a Discovery Channel documentary.

The snake wrapped its powerful coils around Rosolie’s body and squeezed as it lunged.
Rosolie endured intense pressure and pain throughout the experience.
While the protective suit prevented major injuries, he recalled how the snake’s coils tightened around him, making it difficult to breathe.
“I’m getting coils over me,” Rosolie said during the incident. “She’s got my arms pinned. She knows there’s nothing I can do.”
