The Games mark the couple’s first official joint appearance since their tour of Colombia in August. In January, they were seen together in Pasadena, California, visiting the World Central Kitchen to help distribute food and supplies to victims of the Eaton Fire.

While Meghan has solo projects ahead, her attendance at the Invictus Games reinforces her and Harry’s unity in both personal and professional spheres, with family remaining her top priority.

One attendee in Vancouver commented on the Duchess’s presence, saying, “I think it’s great that she’s coming. There is a lot of speculation about them and their marriage, but this reinforces one thing to me, at least — there is no separation. In December, Harry addressed the ongoing public scrutiny of their relationship. The Invictus Games hold special significance in Harry and Meghan’s love story, as it was during the 2017 Toronto Games that they made their first public appearance as a couple.
