A Dangerous Health Scare After Childbirth

In a recent podcast episode, Meghan revealed a serious medical episode that followed one of her pregnancies: postpartum preeclampsia, a rare but life-threatening condition that can trigger strokes or seizures after delivery.

“It’s rare, and it’s terrifying,” she shared, explaining how silently it can develop without visible symptoms. Despite the fear, she focused on remaining strong — especially for her young children.

Her words shed light on maternal health risks that are still under-discussed, even in developed healthcare systems.

Courage in the Face of Mental Health Struggles

Back in 2021, during a landmark interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan opened up about the mental strain she endured while pregnant with her first child, Archie.

In a moment of deep vulnerability, she admitted she had struggled with suicidal thoughts:

“I didn’t want to be alive anymore,” she said, describing the emotional isolation she felt.
