Prince George impresses fans with behaviour at VE Day event as they declare ‘he’s going to be a great king’

Part 2 of 2

Jo Frost Weighs In

Parenting expert Jo Frost (also known as Supernanny) also chimed in after seeing a photo of George leaning in attentively beside Prince William while speaking to a veteran.

Speaking to HELLO!, Jo said:
“This photo beautifully shows our future king William setting an example, with his young heir by his side, listening and holding space with compassion for the stories shared by a generation that won’t be here forever but will always be remembered when Prince George becomes king.”

She highlighted how George benefits from real-life public service experiences, noting that these moments build his confidence and empathy.

Frost also applauded William and Kate:
“They’ve done an incredible job as parents who balance royal duty with nurturing emotional resilience in their children—especially as those children have already witnessed difficult moments in the public eye.”
She concluded, “They’re doing a smashing job.”

What Title Will Prince George Take as King?

Though he is now widely known as Prince George of Wales, his regnal name as king might not necessarily be King George VII. Royals traditionally choose from any of their given names upon accession.

Prince George’s full name is George Alexander Louis, giving him several options—King George VII, King Alexander, or even King Louis.

Choosing a name with symbolic value or one that honours a beloved family member is not uncommon. George’s great-great-grandfather, King George VI, was born Albert but chose to reign as George.

If George Has No Children

In the event that Prince George becomes king but has no children, the line of succession would pass to the next in line—his sister, Princess Charlotte, followed by his younger brother, Prince Louis.

This follows the rule of absolute primogeniture, implemented before George’s birth, which ensures that gender no longer determines the order of succession.

If George remains childless, Charlotte could go on to become the first reigning queen in several generations.
