Prince Harry feeling ‘regret’ over explosive memoir amid Meghan’s admiration for Kate

Part 1 of 2

Prince Harry is reportedly experiencing “regrets” about his explosive memoir, *Spare*, as he and Meghan Markle aim to mend fences with the royal family this year, according to a source.

It’s been two years since *Spare* was released on January 10, 2023, becoming the fastest-selling book in history. The memoir, filled with revelations about arguments, tragic admissions, unexpected romances, and even “brainwashing” claims, dealt a significant blow to the royal family.

Among the damaging claims were that William thought Harry was moving “too fast” with Meghan, King Charles’s comments about insufficient funds to support Meghan, and a heated argument between Kate and Meghan over a bridesmaid dress fitting.

According to a source, Prince Harry now harbors some regrets about the memoir. “Although Harry is glad he finally expressed his side of the story with *Spare*, part of him regrets how it was handled,” the source revealed. “He was very angry about his treatment by his family and felt the book was the only way to get them to listen. But, in hindsight, he feels it may not have been the best approach, and it caused significant pain for his family.”

Despite lingering anger from their departure from the royal family and relocation to California, Harry and Meghan now seem focused on rebuilding relationships with the royals. “Harry still desires a relationship with his family and hopes to achieve that by 2025,” the source added. “Much has happened since *Spare*’s release, and he didn’t update the paperback version, so he’s hopeful for reconciliation.”

While Harry wishes to move on, Meghan may have other plans. The source noted, “Meghan has received numerous offers to write her own book and is considering them. She doesn’t share Harry’s loyalty to the family and is open to writing about her experiences, but she understands that revisiting the past could provoke backlash and further erode public support.”
