Princess Kate ‘urges Prince Harry to come back home’ in hope for Prince William reunion

Part 2 of 2

A family relationship that has not recovered

Although Harry has publicly expressed a desire to reconnect with his family, his relationship with William remains deeply strained. The brothers have not appeared together since the coronation of King Charles in 2023, and it is widely believed that private communication has been nonexistent since then.

Harry and Meghan left the United Kingdom in 2020 to build a new life in California, but the fallout from their high profile interviews, the Netflix series, and the publication of Spare left significant wounds. Harry’s most recent trip to the UK was for the WellChild Awards in September. He met with King Charles at that time, yet he and William did not reunite.

The timing of this latest reported appeal from Kate comes shortly after Harry and Meghan attended Kris Jenner’s seventieth birthday party. The appearance drew criticism from some royal watchers because the event overlapped with Remembrance Sunday in the UK. Although Harry wore a poppy at the celebration, his absence from the traditional tributes in London highlighted the growing divide between him and the rest of the royal family.

Behind closed doors, William is said to be deeply frustrated, and insiders claim Kate is working quietly to prevent the situation from deteriorating further. She wants her family back together and is prepared to keep applying gentle pressure on both brothers if that is what it takes. As one source put it, she believes the effort will all be worth it if it helps restore peace within the family.
