Queen Elizabeth’s ‘unfiltered thoughts’ on Donald and Melania Trump behind palace doors

Part 1 of 2

Donald Trump and his wife Melania met the royal family several times during his first term. In 2019, they were hosted for an official state visit, and in 2018, they had a private tea with Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle. The 2019 state banquet also saw other royals, including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Trump is set to visit the UK for a second state visit, following an invitation from King Charles. However, a royal author claimed that Queen Elizabeth found Trump “very rude” during his visit, a claim he later denied. The Queen was also said to have opinions about his marriage to Melania.

Queen Elizabeth found Donald Trump ‘very rude’

Author Craig Brown shared in his book A Voyage Around The Queen that Her Majesty reportedly thought the president was ‘rude’ after spending time with the American.

The Queen was known for keeping her personal opinions private and focused on her duties during her 70 years on the throne. However, she apparently shared her thoughts about The Apprentice star with a guest.

Brown wrote: “During her reign, Her Majesty met many controversial leaders, such as Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin, Donald Trump, Emperor Hirohito, and Vladimir Putin. She might not have enjoyed their company, and perhaps even expressed some disapproval.

“A few weeks after President Trump’s visit, she told a lunch guest that she found him ‘very rude’, especially because she didn’t like how he kept looking over her shoulder, as though searching for someone more interesting.”

Queen Elizabeth ‘believed’ Melania Trump conspiracy theory

He also mentioned that Queen Elizabeth supposedly believed in a conspiracy theory about Melania Trump, thinking that the model had an ‘arrangement’ with Donald and didn’t marry him for love.

The reports surfaced just before the 2024 US election, and Donald Trump’s team quickly dismissed the claims, calling them ‘fake news.’

“This is nothing more than fake news designed to use made-up, scandalous lies to sell a book that belongs in the bargain section of the fiction aisle,” a spokesperson stated at the time.
