Royal family’s ‘verdict’ following Meghan Markle’s ‘bizarre’ twerking hospital video

Part 1 of 2

A recently resurfaced video featuring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has sparked renewed controversy, with a royal expert suggesting it could further alienate the couple from the royal family.

The clip, reportedly showing Meghan — while pregnant — and Harry dancing playfully in a hospital room as they awaited the birth of Princess Lilibet, has been labeled by some critics as inappropriate and attention-seeking.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams weighed in, telling Royal Insider that the video appears to contradict the couple’s long-standing calls for privacy.

“The Sussexes howl about privacy, but come out with this. It’s surreal to release a video that simply looks odd and doesn’t align with the image they’re trying to portray — especially as Meghan seeks to be seen as a serious influencer,” Fitzwilliams said.

He also questioned the couple’s selective approach to their children’s public exposure, noting that while they often guard their children’s privacy, they make exceptions for what he perceives as promotional efforts.

“They knew close-up photos of Princess Lilibet would attract global attention. But they’re usually hesitant to share such images unless there’s a strategic reason,” he added.

While fans of the couple may view the video as lighthearted and humanizing, critics argue it sends mixed signals about their public image and intentions.

“Far too erratic to be trusted” – Royal expert slams Meghan and Harry’s latest video

Royal commentator Mr. Fitzwilliams didn’t hold back his criticism of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s latest attempt at public engagement — a video of them dancing that’s now gone viral.

“The twerking video will become notorious,” he said, questioning the couple’s brand strategy.
