Barron has lived a privileged life since childhood, growing up under Melania’s care in an environment of comfort and abundance. However, despite this, few would expect that, under Trump’s influence, Barron is actually quite frugal in his personal life.
Since starting college, he has been using a simple $88 black backpack, giving him the appearance of an ordinary student. This choice helps him maintain a low profile, making him seem more approachable in public and allowing him to engage in various activities with ease.
Furthermore, ever since Trump took office, he has opposed excessive spending and waste, even choosing to donate his own money to charity on occasion.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Barron has always embraced a modest lifestyle. Even at 18, he has never indulged in luxury goods. In a way, this approach not only reinforces his positive public image but also prepares him for a future leadership role while contributing to the overall reputation of the Trump family.

Barron made occasional public appearances alongside his family during Donald Trump’s first term as president (2017–2021). As the president’s youngest son, he spent part of his childhood in the White House, though he initially remained in New York City with Melania to complete his school year before relocating to Washington, D.C.
This time, however, he seems to be stepping further into the spotlight. Now 18, Barron was spotted casting his vote in the election. His mother, Melania, 54, proudly posted a photo on X, captioning it: “Voted for the first time – for his dad!” along with hashtags like “18 years old,” “presidential election,” and “proud.”
During the inauguration, Donald Trump introduced him with a remark: “I have a very tall son.” Barron appeared to enjoy the moment, waving enthusiastically and—much like his father—raising his right fist in the air. At one point, he even cupped his right hand around his ear, soaking in the thunderous cheers.
