Sarah Ferguson accused of carrying on a ‘secret affair’ inside Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s study ‘after he went to bed’

Part 1 of 2

Shocking new claims have reignited one of the royal family’s most scandalous chapters — accusing Sarah Ferguson of carrying on a secret affair inside Prince Andrew’s own study, allegedly after he had already gone to bed.

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s marriage has long been remembered as one of the most turbulent unions in modern royal history. Now, decades later, sensational allegations are resurfacing, painting an even more chaotic picture of their time together.

Affair Rumors Erupt Again

The couple married in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey in 1986, but behind the glamour, their life together soon became overshadowed by accusations of infidelity.

Though they officially divorced in 1996, they continued sharing a home at Royal Lodge for years, fueling endless speculation.

Fresh whispers now echo old claims: that Sarah carried on an affair with American financial adviser John Bryan—and shockingly, sometimes in Prince Andrew’s own study.

In his 1996 book Fergie – Her Secret Life, Sarah’s former confidant Dr. Allan Starkie alleged that Andrew was completely unaware of his wife’s affair, even while they were still sharing a marital bedroom.

The Daily Mail reported Starkie’s claim:

“When John Bryan came to stay at Sunninghill, he and Sarah would indulge in sex acts in Andrew’s study after the prince had gone to bed. She didn’t care.”

The Queen’s former private secretary, Lord Charteris, reportedly blasted the behavior as “vulgar, vulgar, vulgar.”

Princess Anne Steps In

When Sarah’s affair became public, Princess Anne was said to have delivered a severe reprimand. According to Andrew Lownie’s book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Anne confronted Sarah directly — and no one in the family dared contradict her.

Andrew, devastated and humiliated, reportedly retreated into silence and sadness.
