Susan Boyle still lives in her childhood home – now she gives us a peek inside after the renovations

Part 2 of 2

Her house, once filled with nine family members, now feels much more spacious. She recently shared a glimpse of her home, including a newly designed piano room—despite admitting with a laugh, “That’s a giggle for a start because I can’t even do scales.”

Susan also remodeled her kitchen, making it more open and functional. A framed photo of her meeting Pope Francis sits proudly among the decorations. Her living room, warm and inviting, is filled with family photos, a reflection of her deep connection to her loved ones.

Moving upstairs, she showed what used to be the room she once shared with her sisters. Now her own space, she fondly recalls listening to records, especially those of The Osmonds.

Her home holds precious memories, especially of her late mother, whom she cared for until her passing in 2007. “Some people seem surprised that I choose to stay in my family home. Why shouldn’t I? I feel Mum is still here and there are so many good memories … I’ve spent most of my life in this house and I won’t move now, because I feel it’s part of my new history,” she explained.

Love and Family Aspirations

Susan has always been open about her desire to find love and share her life with someone special. She hopes to meet the right person one day, and if she does, there’s no question—he will be moving into her home, not the other way around.

Beyond romance, one of Susan’s biggest regrets is not having children of her own. “I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret, but I love kids. They’re good fun to be with,” she told The Sun.

At 60, she knows biological motherhood may no longer be an option, but she has considered adoption or fostering. “I’ve a lovely house, why not share it?” she said, expressing her desire to provide a safe and loving home to children in need.

Staying True to Herself

Susan Boyle’s story is a reminder that fame and fortune don’t have to change a person. Despite becoming an overnight star, she has stayed true to her roots, choosing to live a quiet, simple life in the home that has always been her sanctuary.
