Princess Kate is back home in Windsor, recovering from her recent abdominal surgery. While she won’t return to public duties until after Easter, she will work from home and spend time with her children.
Prince William, along with Kate’s parents and sister, are helping during her recovery.
In a statement, Kensington Palace shared that the Princess is making good progress and thanked the London Clinic staff for their care. The family also expressed gratitude for the worldwide support and kind messages.

Princess Kate has been keeping in touch with her children via FaceTime while recovering in the hospital, according to royal editor Emily Nash. The kids haven’t visited her yet, but they’re staying connected.
“Kate often FaceTimes the kids when she’s away, so they’re likely in regular contact,” Nash shared. While Kate recovers, Prince William is handling things at home, keeping routines as normal as possible for their children.
William and Kate would get help from their long-time nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Borrallo has been with the family since Prince George was just 8 months old.
Maria Borallo, the royal nanny for William and Kate’s children, is known for her total dedication to the family. She’s not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, focusing fully on her work. Trained at Norland College, she’s respected for being firm but fair.
When the couple travels, Maria handles all childcare decisions. While discipline is important, she works closely with the parents and never acts alone. Despite being strict, the trio manage to keep things calm and loving.
Kensington Palace once stated that they were “delighted” she joined the family and confirmed she would accompany them on official trips.
