Palmistry, often referred to as the art of reading hand lines, is an ancient tradition with origins in Hindu astrology and Chinese folklore.
Over time, this practice spread across Asia and Europe and was reportedly used by notable historical figures, including Alexander the Great. One of the most mysterious signs said to appear on the palm is the letter “X” — a mark that, according to some claims, is found on only about 3% of the global population.

The Meaning of an X on the Palm
Historically, those with an “X” on their palm were believed to be destined for greatness. Legend has it that Alexander the Great selected his closest advisors by examining their palms for unique symbols.
More recently, research from the Moscow Institute of Technology (NTI) has suggested a connection between this marking and influential individuals like Abraham Lincoln and Vladimir Putin.
It’s said that those who have an X on both palms are remembered long after death, leaving behind a lasting impact. Individuals with the mark on only one palm are still seen as destined for significance, though to a lesser degree.
