Harry and Meghan have occasionally opened up about their children in interviews. In 2023, Harry shared how much he sees his late mother, Princess Diana, in his children, humorously noting, “The ginger gene is a strong one.” Early in his relationship with Meghan, Harry assumed his red hair wouldn’t carry through to his children, but he was proven wrong.
In 2022, Harry proudly shared a milestone for Lilibet, revealing, “Her current priorities are trying to keep up with her brother; she took her first step just a few days ago!”

Protecting Their Children in a Digital Age
Both Meghan and Harry have spoken about their efforts to protect Archie and Lilibet from online harm. Meghan highlighted this concern in August, saying, “Our kids are young. They are three and five. They’re amazing. But all you want to do as parents is protect them. And so, as we see what’s happening in the online space, we know there’s a lot of work to be done, and we are just happy to be part of the change for good.”
Harry echoed her sentiments, stressing the dangers of the digital world and the importance of vigilance. “Every parent must act as a first responder,” he said, noting how easy it is to miss warning signs like suicidal thoughts brought on by online harm. “That is the terrifying piece of this,” he added.
Raising Globally Minded Children
Beyond online safety, Harry and Meghan aim to instill in Archie and Lilibet a deep appreciation for diversity and global communities. The couple is committed to introducing their children to causes close to their hearts.
Harry, for instance, has already shared the excitement of the Invictus Games with Archie by showing him videos of wheelchair basketball and rugby, which Archie reportedly loved. He hopes to one day bring both children to experience the games in person.
