This feeling became even clearer in April 2024, when Prince Harry made a short trip back to the UK for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He reportedly tried to get in touch, but King Charles III didn’t respond.
What seems to have upset people the most, though, is Prince Harry’s decision to talk publicly about King Charles III’s health. Back in February 2024, the King shared that he was being treated for cancer after undergoing a procedure for an enlarged prostate, which was non-cancerous.
Since then, the King has chosen to speak to the public about his condition in a calm and hopeful way. But when Prince Harry said he didn’t know how much time his father had left, it reportedly didn’t sit well with the royal family.

“It was disgraceful to talk about Charles’s health. If he’s not talking to him, how does he know anything about it?” asked Vickers. A palace source shared the same frustration, saying, “It’s OK for King Charles to talk about his own health.” But they felt Prince Harry should have kept quiet. Vickers also said:
While much of the attention has been on the strained relationship between the Duke and King Charles III, the royal family tensions go beyond that — involving Prince William and Princess Catherine as well.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, reportedly have no intention of welcoming Prince Harry back into the royal family — and for two key reasons.

First, Harry continues to support and is happily married to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who in her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey claimed that Princess Catherine made her cry and also accused the royal family of racism, though she didn’t name anyone.
Second, William and Catherine believe in keeping personal matters private. It’s said that Prince William’s hesitance to reconnect with his brother is mainly about protecting his family’s privacy and avoiding public drama.
