The 36-year-old music producer proposed to the *Emilia Perez* actress, 32, on Wednesday. Gomez shared a series of romantic photos, including close-ups of her stunning marquise-cut diamond ring.

While support from her longtime best friend Taylor Swift was expected, fans were surprised to see subtle acknowledgment from Hailey Bieber, the wife of Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Hailey, 28, hit the like button on Gomez’s post, which featured a photo of Benny embracing Selena as she giggled with her hand over her mouth.

“Forever begins now,” the *Wizards of Waverly Place* star wrote in the caption, alongside the sweet snapshots of their special day.

Selena and Justin had a famously on-and-off relationship from 2010 to 2018, and rumors of tension between Gomez and Hailey have persisted ever since. Justin and Hailey tied the knot in September 2018, just six months after his final breakup with Selena.

In a June 2023 interview with Emily Chang on Bloomberg’s *The Circuit*, Hailey addressed the alleged feud while promoting her Rhode skincare line. She attributed the drama to “made-up narratives” about celebrities’ lives.
