Hailey rejected the idea of rivalry between the two women, adding, “I don’t like this whole idea of team this person and team that person. I want to bring people together. It doesn’t have to be divisive.”
She dismissed the narrative as a “frustrating old trope” of pitting two women against each other over a man. “Because of a guy! It’s awful! I hate it! I’ve hated it from the beginning, and it all goes back to being misunderstood,” she said.

Gomez and Blanco’s romance began in June 2023, though Gomez didn’t publicly confirm the relationship until December. At the time, she shared on Instagram that she had been secretly dating the producer for six months, calling him her “absolute everything.”
The two had been friends for over a decade before becoming romantically involved and even collaborated on music, including Gomez’s hits *I Can’t Get Enough* (2019) and *Same Old Love* (2015).
Last month, Blanco opened up about how their relationship started during a Twitch stream with Kai Cenat. He revealed that Gomez was the one to make the first move.

“She asked me out. It was crazy,” Blanco shared. “We were just talking, and she asked, ‘You wanna get dinner?’ I went, but I had no idea it was a date.”
Blanco explained that, at first, he didn’t realize the dinner was romantic. “She said, ‘I would’ve worn something different to this date.’ And I was like, ‘Wait, what? We’re on a date?’ I had no idea,” he admitted.
He added that Gomez had to leave early for a video shoot the next day, but they met up again soon after. “Two days later, I was like, ‘Yo, I think she likes me.’ And then I just kissed her. The rest is history,” he said.
