We had the opportunity to interact with him during the night, but it wasn’t until we saw his eyes up close that we realized how special they were. We were completely enamored! Luckily, we were able to take him home when the hold was lifted, and we gave him the name Bowie – inspired by David Bowie, who also had mismatched eyes. It took some time for our other kitty, Olive, to adjust to having a new friend around, but now they’re inseparable. We’re absolutely smitten with our precious Bow. How would you describe his character?

To put it simply, he’s a laid-back and easygoing feline! He’s also incredibly affectionate and inquisitive. Whenever we have dogs over for fostering, Bowie is the first to approach them and rub against their legs, regardless of whether they appreciate it or not (hilarious!). He thrives on human company and enjoys being in close proximity to us, though he’s not one for snuggling up.

What makes him unique? Well, for starters, he’s probably one of the quietest cats you’ll ever meet! Despite being a chatterbox when it comes to birds, Bowie has never meowed in our presence. It’s quite amusing, really, because my partner and I have had our fair share of vocal felines in the past. But Bowie? He’s a mute! This quirk just adds to his charm, and we feel so lucky to have him in our lives. Bowie, you may be an odd-eyed cat, but you’re perfect just the way you are. Your beauty and sweet nature make the world a better place.
