Puppy was left tied to park picnic table in the rain — rescuers save him

Part 2 of 2

The rescue named the dog Wilbur. They discovered that he was “covered in ringworm,” and treated him with medical baths.

Days after the rescue, Wilbur was in a loving foster home. His foster mom told The Dodo that he was “doing great” and was a “snuggle bug.” “He wants nothing more than to be loved,” she said.

It’s not clear where Wilbur came from, but it’s clear he hadn’t been receiving the love and care he deserved. But now, the future is looking bright for the little pup.

“He’ll never have to be lonely or muster up that much bravery ever again,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis wrote on Facebook.

Thank you for saving this tied-up puppy, getting him out of the rain and giving him a new start. That look on his face shows that he knows he’s in good hands.
