Remembering Keisha Whitaker

Keisha Nash Whitaker, known for her acting roles and her personal life, has tragically passed away at the age of 51. Keisha, the ex-wife of actor Forest Whitaker, leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Keisha and Forest were married for 25 years, and during that time, they had three beautiful children together. Although their marriage came to an end in 2021, they remained close friends. Forest has spoken highly of Keisha, describing her as kind, funny, bright, outgoing, and a devoted mother to their children. It is clear that her passing has deeply affected him.

While an official cause of death has not been publicly released, it is believed that Keisha’s battle with anorexia may have played a role. According to a source, she had been in and out of the hospital in recent months due to intestinal problems caused by her struggle with anorexia. It is known that Keisha fought this battle for many years, showing incredible strength and resilience.

Keisha’s youngest daughter, True Whitaker, took to Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news and pay tribute to her mother. In her heartfelt message, she expressed her love for Keisha and described her as the most beautiful woman in the world. True thanked her mother for teaching her everything she knows and promised to keep her memory alive in her dreams and in her heart.

The death certificate released by Los Angeles County lists alcoholic liver disease as the immediate cause of Keisha’s passing. It also notes that she had been suffering from the disease for years. Additionally, acute renal failure, attributed to anorexia, is listed as a contributing condition.

Keisha Whitaker will be remembered for her talent, her love for her family, and her strength in the face of adversity. May her soul rest in peace, and may her loved ones find comfort in the memories they shared with her.
